I will not be anxious to do it that way again. But I learned a lot.
And as the slippers are currently blocking on my feet (yes that means
I'm walking around in wet slippers until they dry), they will have a
perfect custom fit.
Since they are felted now maybe you figured it out already, but in case you did not...Im new to felting/fulling too and finally got it right! It is so easy now!!! It isnt the heat only that does the trick, but heat plus agitation. My first attempt I tried the boiling thing, shocked it with cold water...nothing happened. So I read somewhere to put your project in a pillow case, tie it closed. Toss in a pair of jeans or some flip-flops (thats what I used). Put your washer on hot, small load. Do not let it spin. Voila! It took 10 minutes total. I hope this helps you for your next project.
